Description: The ABB type K-1600M is a 1600A Frame, Manually Operated, Draw-out Style Air Circuit Breaker. ABB manufactured the K-1600M as a replacement for the original ITE/BBC/Gould type K-1600 with an upgraded solid state trip device and non-asbestos arc chutes. It was originally outfitted with ABB’s MPS-C solid state trip device, however, new trip unit models are available. Although the unit photographed is a manually operated unit, electrically operated K-1600M breakers are also available.
